Council of Higher Secondary Education will soon declare the Manipur Board HSE Routine 2019 and Exam date for students (regular and private) who are enrolled the 12th Class final examination for the academic session 2018-2019 in science, Arts, Commerce and Vocational courses. Manipur HSE Routine 2019
The Council of Higher Secondary Education shortly called as COHSEM and was established 1992, before the establishment of the council the +2 courses in the state were conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur as Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate course in the Higher Secondary Schools and pre-university course by the Manipur University in the college, but with establishment of the council the +2 courses of the Board of Secondary Education and Manipur University were taken over and amalgamated into HSE course under Council of Higher Secondary Education. The council conducted the Higher Secondary Examination in the year of 1993 as its first public examination in the state.
The main aims of the Board shall be to provide secondary and Senior secondary education and, for this purpose grant recognition to the required number of such schools in the territory, to pay special attention to the improvement of the secondary and higher secondary education so that it meets the required needs and standards of economic and social development. After X standard every year about approximately 30,000 students enroll in the 2-Year Higher Secondary courses. The courses offered by the Department are broadly classified under the categories of Arts, Science and Commerce . There are various subjects, and languages and different combinations in the HSC curriculum. Functions of the Board
- To prescribe courses of instruction for examinations
- Conduct examinations of Higher Secondary classes XI and XII.
- To prescribe conditions of examinations, conduct examinations and responsible for making necessary arrangements for the same.
- To publish the results of external examinations
- Advise the Government in standard requirement in respect of staff, buildings, furniture, equipment , stationery and other amenities required for Secondary and Higher Secondary schools.
- To prepare the curricula, syllabus and test books in accordance with the approved courses of study.
