Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test popularly known as AP EdCET 2018 notification and examination details will announced soon by Sri Venkateswara University,Tirupati on behalf of APSCHE. Applications are invited from candidates who intend to take admissions into B.Ed regular course (Two years duration) offered in Universities and affiliated colleges of education in AP for the academic year 2018-2019. Eligible and interested candidates may submit their applications through online at official website.

Application Fee and Payment

1. The General category candidates should pay the application fee of Rs 400/- while the SC / ST category candidates have to pay Rs 200/-  

2. The fee may be paid at any AP Online centers and also through payment Gateway ( Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking).

Eligibility Criteria for AP EdCET 2018

Nationality and Domicile

1. Candidate should should be of Indian Nationality.

2. Candidate should be belong to the state of AP only and should satisfy Local / Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh  Educational Institutions or 1974 as subsequently amended.  

3. Candidate should satisfy Local / Non Local status requirement as per AP GO MS NO 153.

Educational Qualifications

1. Candidates should have passed / appearing for final year examination of B.A / B.Sc / B.Sc Home science / B.Com / B.C.A / B.B.M at the time of submitting the application for entrance.Candidates should be required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of admission.

2. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks ( 40% marks for in case of SC / ST / BC / PH) either in the Master Degree in relevant subject or 5 years Integrated  course in the relevant subject of Methodology or any  other qualifying equivalent there to.

3. Candidates should have passed / appearing for final year examination of B.E / B.Tech with Science / Mathematics as one of the subject and candidates should secured a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination. 

4. The candidates who have passed  M.B.B.S / B.D.S / B.A.M.S / B.L / L.L.B / B.A (Languages) / B.O.L etc are not eligible for admission into B.Ed course.

5. Different methodology's and Eligibility given below

Mathematics : 

Candidate with B.A./B.Sc./B.E/B.Tech. with mathematics as one of the subjects or B.C.A candidates with Mathematics at intermediate level as a group subject.

Physical Sciences : 

Candidates with B.Sc /B.E/B.Tech who have studied Physics and Chemistry or Allied Material Sciences as one of the subjects or BCA candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at intermediate level as group subject.

Biological Sciences :

Candidates with B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or Allied Life Sciences under Part -II group subjects or B.C.A. candidates with Biological Sciences at intermediate level as group subject.

Social Studies :

All candidates with B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. or B.C.A. candidates with Social Sciences at intermediate level as group subject.

English :

Candidates with B.A Special English / B.A . English literature or M.A. English. 

Age Limit

The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on 1st July of the year in which notification issued.There shall be no maximum age limit.

How to Apply-AP EdCET 2018 Online Application form

The candidate after satisfying the eligibility criteria for entrance test, can apply online mode at official website only. The registration process will be held in two phases, in the first phase the aspirant are required to pay the application fee while in the second phase the candidate can fill the online application and submit it. Candidate shall take printout of the application and store it for future reference.

Step-1 : Payment of Application Fee

How to Make Payment in Offline

1. Visit any of the AP Online center with following mandatory details and pay requisite fee 

Candidate Name, 
Candidate Father Name
Date of Birth
Qualifying examination details
Hall ticket number of SSC and Month, Year of passing
Mobile Number   

2. You will receive a receipt from the application fee payment, containing a "Transaction Id ("Journal Number") from the payment center. Can proceed submission application.

 How to Make Payment in Online

1. Login to the official website, clicking on " Online Payment", select post applying for APEdCET & District belongs to, enter the personnel details and filled the all the details in the respective fields .

2. Choose the appropriate option above online mode  select the bank from the droplist,  clicking the "make payment" ,  completing banking process shall receive " Transaction Id (Journal Number)".  Can proceed submission  Application form.

Step-2 : Fill up of  Online Application

1. Login to the official website http://www.apedcet.org , go through the instructions to fill up the form.Click on the "Apply Online" link.

2. The following registration fee payment procedure webpage will appear on the screen.Select appropriate registration fee payment mode AP Online (or) Debit / Credit card and click.

3. After clicking the button the following "Payment verification" webpage will appear on the screen.Fill all the details in the respective fields completed after clicking the button "Proceed filling application form"application will be displayed.

4. Fill the entire academic, study , reservation and personal details . Upload photo and signature and click "Save" button.

5. Finally click submit button,take the printout application mentioning the "Reference Id" (Registration Id).

Step-3 :  Print the Application

Click on appearing as " Print your Application" link, enter the required details and click submit button.

Syllabus for AP EdCET 2018

Part-A :

1. Reading Comprehension.

2. Correction of Sentences, Articles, Prepositions, Tenses, Spelling, Voice.

3. Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms.

4. Transformation of Sentences - Simple, Compound and Complex. Direct Speech and Indirect Speech.

Part-B :

1. Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general knowledge of the environment around him and its application to society.

2. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific outlook as is expected of an educated person.

3. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring Countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography,Ecology, Economics, General Policy and Scientific Research.

4. Teaching requires certain characteristics like ability to communicate, ability to deal with Children, ability to recognize individual differences etc., apart from analytical thinking and general intelligence. One who has these characteristics will be able.

Part-C :

Syllabus shall be of graduation level

Exam Pattern 

The entrance test conducted in Online as Computer Based Test (CBT). The paper will consist of 150 objective type and Multiple choice questions in 2 hours duration. Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will awarded 1 mark. The unanswered questions or multiple answers will receive nil marks. No negative marks.

Qualifying Marks 

Qualifying cutoff mark in the entrance test is 25% (37 marks out of total 150 marks). However for candidate belonging to SC / ST no qualifying percentage marks  is prescribed.

Selection Procedure

1. Based on the merit in the entrance test.

2. Admission into of college depends on it Recognition / Affiliation by the statutory bodies and option of the college exercised in counseling.

3. Rule of reservation.

4. Admission to 85% of seats shall be reserved for local candidates and 15% of the seats shall be left unreserved of specified in the AP Educational Institution order  1974 as amended. 

Answer Key for AP EdCET 2018

S.V University, Government of AP will publish the answer key of the test in the official website. Candidate can calculate their marks in entrance test, after knowing the total number of answers correctly marked by them, with the help of key. If any candidate has complaints regarding the key  questions the same shall be submitted to convener of entrance test in writing a along with supporting documents being challenges before date of result.
