The GBSHSE Board has successfully conducted the Plus Two  examination as per the scheduled time table . Every year thousands of candidates appears for the Goa 12th examination, this year nearly 17 thousands  students appeared HSSC examination. Goa 12th Results 2018

The Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted by the GBSHSE, State Government of Secondary Education in Goa class 12th. The goal of the Academic, Training, Innovation and Research unit of state Education is to achieve academic excellence by conceptualizing policies and their operational planning to ensure balanced academic activities in the schools affiliated to the Board. The Unit strives to provide Scheme of Studies, curriculum, academic guidelines, textual material, support material, enrichment activities and capacity building programmes. 

The Scheme of Examinations and Pass Criteria for All Standard 12th Examination conducted by the Board, shall be as laid down from time to time. The SSC must be obtained at the end of term of study at the secondary school after which a student can study at a higher secondary school, which is sometimes called HSSC, for two years. After this Twelve-Year period of study student may enter a university of for Under Graduate Studies.The Examination would be conducted in theory as well as in practicals, depending upon the nature of the subject(s) and the marks/grades allotted shall be as prescribed in the curriculum. Awarding the grades the Board shall put all the passed students in a rank order.Awarding the grades the Board shall put all the passed students in a rank order. The board is introduced pattern. there is no choice from several streams instead there are 6 compulsory subjects viz state language, One other Language, Social Science, Science, Mathematics.

The Goa Board been conducting 12th and other examinations. Every year the student strength increasing tremendously.  The board has decided to improve the evaluation system and there results, has set up divisional offices of the board. The board also provides affiliation to many colleges in all over the state. The Board conducts the examination each year and provide the certification to qualified students.

The aims of the Goa Board shall be to provide secondary and higher secondary education and, for this purpose grant recognition to the required number of such schools in the territory, to pay special attention to the improvement of the secondary and higher secondary education so that it meets the required needs and standards of economic and social development; to provide adequate facilities for educational and professional advancement of socially and educationally backward communities; to take such steps and such measures as may lead to intellectual, academic, physical and cultural development of the youth.

Responsibilities of the Board
  • Grant and withdraw recognition to the Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools.
  • Advise the government on matters of policy relating secondary and higher secondary education in general and other matters.
  • Lay down guiding principles regarding curricula and syllabus for entire  secondary and higher secondary courses and to prepare the detailed syllabus for all standards of 10th and 12th.
  • Advise the Government in standard requirement in respect of staff, buildings, furniture, equipment , stationery and other amenities required for SSC and HSSC schools.
  • Prescribe and prepare text-books for all standards of secondary and higher secondary educations.
  • Prescribe conditions for admission of regular and private candidates to the final examinations.
  • Declare the results of the candidates at the final examination.

The Board has ventured to conduct the supplementary examination for the failed candidate of the examination of March in june month of every year itself, this will enable the students who would be successful in the June examination to join higher education courses in the same academic year from July itself. 

The Board will be released Goa 12th results along with the total pass percentage of the students, who have written the 10th class exam in 2018 along with pass percentage of the students of Boys and girls separately, district wise merit list, state wise merit list, district wise top-10 number scores and name and state wide top-10 numbers scores and Names. The result contain a name, roll number, father name, total marks, grade...etc.
