Tamil Nadu HSC Result 2018 will be declared soon by Directorate of Government Examination in the Month of May. Every year DGE Board on behalf of State Government,  conducts examination for SSLC and 12th class / Higher Secondary as well as 11th Class.  In similar manner Board has conducted 12th Class 2018 examination in the month of 1st week March 2018 till 3rd week of March 2018. A hug number of candidates across the State have appeared for the 12th examination at different centers in the State for the academic session 2017-2018 in the streams Science, Art's, Commerce and Vocational Education. All the students who have participated in 12th Class examination have prepared very well to get better marks in class 12th examination. Candidates who are appeared in the class 12th examination they can check their exam result to entering their registration number and date of birth from official website.

The DGE has successfully conducted the Plus Two  examination as per the scheduled time table . Every year lakhs of candidates appears for the Tamil Nadu 12th examination, this year nearly 10 lakhs students appeared plus two examination. The result will be declared soon, as per the academic calendar of the board. The Senior Secondary course is an Higher Secondary level course of two years duration , conducted be state education institutions or boards in India. A person desiring admission to an Indian University must pass this course, which can be considered as a degree course to prepare students for university education, admission to this course is based on marks obtained for the SSLC / 10th Class. The Higher Secondary Education Examination conducted by the DGE , State Government of Intermediate / Higher Secondary Education in Tamil Nadu, class 12th. The goal of the Academic, Training, Innovation and Research unit of state Education is to achieve academic excellence by conceptualizing policies and their operational planning to ensure balanced academic activities in the schools affiliated to the Board. The Unit strives to provide Scheme of Studies, curriculum, academic guidelines, textual material, support material, enrichment activities and capacity building programmes. 

The Scheme of Examinations and Pass Criteria for All Standard 12th Examination conducted by the DGE, shall be as laid down from time to time. The 10th must be obtained at the end of term of study at the secondary school after which a student can study at a higher secondary Education, which is sometimes called a Higher Secondary / +2 / Intermediate, for two years. After this Twelve-Year period of study student may enter a university of for Under Graduate Studies.The Examination would be conducted in theory as well as in practicals, depending upon the nature of the subject(s) and the marks/grades allotted shall be as prescribed in the curriculum. Awarding the grades the Board shall put all the passed students in a rank order.

The main aims of the Board shall be to provide secondary  school and higher secondary education and, for this purpose grant recognition to the required number of such schools in the territory, to pay special attention to the improvement of the secondary and higher secondary education so that it meets the required needs and standards of economic and social development. After X standard every year about  8 lakhs students enroll in the 2-Year Higher Secondary courses. The courses offered by the Department are broadly classified under the categories of Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational Education which includes various subjects.

Directorate of Government Examination Simply called as DGE and was established Feb, 1975, It regulates, controls and developers, secondary education and Higher Secondary education in the state. It provides varied courses in orders to equip students for different occupations to prepare them for university education and to equip them for university education and to equip them for various culture purposes. It examines those who have completed a prescribed course, study and awards certificates to the successful candidates. The first Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination in the year 1911.

Every year the student strength increasing tremendously. The board has decided to improve the evaluation system and there results, has set up Regional offices of the board. There are 7-Regional offices in Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelvelli, Chennai, Cuddalore and Vellore. The board affiliates all state schools, private schools ans colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. The board functions extensively and covers  wide area including every aspect of education. They leave no stone upturned to provide maintenance education to the studies. 

Main functions of the DGE

1. Collecting data relevant to the student appearing for various exams from school.

2. Constitution of centers to conduct the exam.

3. Printing and supply of question papers to the exam centers.

4. Supply of stationary articles to the exam centers .

5. Collection of private candidates data through nodal centre via online.

6. Supply of printed nominal Roll of candidates registered for the exam and issue of hall tickets to private candidates.

7. Appointment officials to conduct the exam at various centers , based on the proposals received from inspecting officers.

8. It regulates examinations for both regular and private candidates. 
Tamil Nadu 12th Result Analysis

In the year 2016, an number of students appeared for the examination 8,33,682 which 87.9 were boys and 93.4 were girls and the overall percentage is 91.4.  While are talking about the year 2017 for the same thing a number  of students appeared for the examination 8,93,262 which 89.3 were boys and 94.5 were girls and the overall percentage is 92.1. It is clear that the percentage of the TN 12th Result is increase day by day.

marks Those students who have no facility for the internet they can use this mode to find out their result through an SMS. The students can easily get their class 12th results declared by the board. The students need to enter their date of birth, hall ticket number and send it to the specified number. You can then receive SMS where in check out the result.

Supplementary Examination

The Board has ventured to conduct the Supplementary examination for the failed candidate of the examination of March in June month of every year itself, this will enable the students who would be successful in the June examination to join higher education courses in the same academic year from July itself. According to official notification , the candidates who have failed to clear the exam can submit their examination form and fee for supplementary examination.

The Board will be released Tamil Nadu 12th result 2018 along with the total pass percentage of the students, who have written the 12th class exam in 2018 along with pass percentage of the students of Boys and girls separately, district wise merit list, state wise merit list, district wise top-10 number scores and name and state wide top-10 numbers scores and Names. The result contain a name, roll number, father name, total marks, grade...etc. Candidates can check the result SMS or online modes. The original mark sheet and passing certificate would be collected from the respective colleges.
