Every year Uttar Pradesh 10th Class examination conducted by Board of High School and Intermediate Education, on behalf of state government, give the exam dates and Time schedule for High School regular and private students of the state. The Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttarpradesh was established in 1921 at Allahabad. It conducted its first examination in 1923. This Board is one in India which from the very start, had adopted 10+2 system of examination. The first public examination after 10 years education is High School examination and after the 10+2 stage is Intermediate examination prior to 1923 , University of Allahabad was the examining body of these two examination. Presently the Board is holding the examinations and preparing the results of nearly 32 lakh students.
Every year the student strength increasing tremendously. The board has decided to improve the evaluation system and there results, has set up Regional offices of the board. The board functions extensively and covers wide area including every aspect of education. They leave no stone upturned to provide maintenance education to the studies. The board also arranges for the preparation , compilation, improvement publication, printing and distribution of text books for 1st to 12th are also done by board.The Board conducts the examination each year and provide the certification to qualified students.
This is one biggest education body in India. Approximately 70 lakh students appear in High School and Intermediate Board exam of UP. UP state have 70 districts and board exam are conducted across all districts. The Uttar Pradesh a few secondary schools are being governed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Council of School Education (ICSE), but most of the secondary schools seek recognition of the U.P Board, at present there are 1921 secondary schools recognized by the UP Board of High School and Intermediate Education.
