Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance test shortly name as TS PGECET 2017 Notification has been announced by Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE. Applications are invited from candidates who intend to take admissions into regular PG courses in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Pharmacy (ME / M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Pharmacy), Graduate level Pharm-D (Post Baccalaureate) offered in Universities in Telangana including affiliated colleges for the academic session 2017-2018. Eligible and interested candidates may submit their application through online at official website.



Note : 

1.The vacant seats after admitting GATE / GPAT qualified candidates will be filled with the candidates based on Rank / Percentile score secured in the PGECET entrance test .

2. GATE / GPAT qualified candidates do not need to appear for this test as they will be given admission on the basis of their rank, have to apply separately.

1. The registration fee is Rs 800 /- for General and Rs 400/- for SC / ST candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for TS PGECET 2017

Nationality and Domicile 

1. Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.

2Candidate should be belong to the state of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh only and should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational institutions or 1974 as subsequently amended.

3. Candidate should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as per TS GO Ms No 25 & 108

4. The candidates other than Indian National should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned.


Educational Qualifications

1. Engineering : Candidates should have passed Graduation in Engineering / Technology from recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks and 45% marks for reserved candidates or equivalent grade.

2. Pharmacy : Candidates should have passed Graduation in Pharmacy from recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks and 50% marks for reserved candidates or equivalent grade.

3. Architecture  : Candidates should have passed Graduation in Pharmacy from recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks and 50% marks for reserved candidates or equivalent grade

4. Graduate Level Pharm-D (PB) : Graduate level 3-year program (UG) in pharmacy with B.Pharmacy as entry qualification approved by pharmacy council of India,New Delhi.  

5. Candidates should have passed M.Sc / M.A / M.C.A Master Degree in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications and Dual degree courses with at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

6. Candidates who are appearing  / appeared for the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for the entrance test. Candidates should be required to produce marks list and pass certificate at the time of admission.

7. Before applying for entrance test the candidate verify the eligibility for various universities to write a particular test and seek admission into the relate course. Eligibility criteria fixed for each course in given official website. 

8.The qualifying degree (professional courses) obtained under distance mode must have AICTE / DEC approval. 

Age Limit 

There is no age restriction for PGECET (Self Financing) . However maximum eligible age for obtaining a Fee Reimbursement / Scholarship in respect of SC / ST and BC is 34 Years and in respect of EBC / Minorities / Disabled id 30 Years.

How to Apply-Online application form for TS PGECET 2017

The candidate after satisfying the eligibility criteria entrance exam, can apply online mode only.The registration process will be held in two phases, in the 1st phase the aspirants are required to pay the application fee while in the second phase, the candidates can fill the online application and submit it. Candidate shall  take printout of the application and store it for future reference.

Step-1 : Payment of Application Fee

How to Make Payment in Online

1. Login to the official website, clicking on ” Apply Online”, select post applying for PGECET & District belongs to, enter the personnel details and filled the all the details in the respective fields .

2. Choose the appropriate option above online mode  select the bank from the droplist,  clicking the “make payment” ,  completing banking process shall receive ” Transaction Id (Journal Number)”.  Can proceed submission  Application form.

Step-2  Fill up of Online application

1. Login to the official website http://pgecet.tsche.ac.in, go through the instructions to fill up the form.

2. The following registration fee payment procedure webpage will appear on the screen.Select appropriate registration fee payment mode Debit / Credit card and click.
3. After clicking the button the following “Payment verification” webpage will appear on the screen.Fill all the details in the respective fields completed after clicking the button “Proceed filling application form”application will be displayed.

4. Fill the entire academic, study , reservation and personal details . Upload photo and signature and click “Save” button.

5. Finally click submit button,take the printout application mentioning the “Reference Id” (Registration Id).

6. Click on appearing as ” Print your Application” link, enter the required details and click submit button.

Exam pattern

The entrance test conducted in Online as a Computer Based Test ( CBT). The paper  will consist of 120 objective type and multiple choice questions in 2 hours duration. Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each  correct answer will awarded 1 mark. The unanswered questions or multiple answers will receive nil marks. No negative marks. 

Selection Procedure

1. Based on the merit in the entrance test

2. Admission into any college depends on its Recognition / Affiliation by the statutory Bodies and Option of the college exercised in counseling.


3. Rule of Reservation

4. Admission to 85% of seats shall be reserved for the local candidates and 15 % of the seats shall be left unreserved as specified in the AP Educational Institutions order 1974 as amended. 

Qualifying Marks TS PGECET 2017

Qualifying cut-off mark in the entrance test is 25% (30 marks out of total 120 marks). However for candidate belonging to SC / ST “No” minimum qualifying percentage marks is prescribed.  

Important

1. Candidates can apply Online mode and pay the application fee through Online payment and also through Offline.

2. Candidate must ensure that mobile numbers, e-mail address entered in the online application form are his/her own as in case of urgency authority may send information / communications by SMS or mail on given mobile number and mailing ID only.

3. Examination centre should be chosen carefully as changes are not allowed after submission of application.

4. Admit Card : The organizing authority will provide facility of downloading online admit cards of entrance exam on the official website tentatively from 24/ May/ 20017. Hall ticket will not sent by post / e-mail.

5. Result : The JNTUH will conduct the entrance examination. evaluate the answer sheets and likely to declare the result by the 2nd week of June and same will hosted on the website. There will be combined merit list along the category-wise merit list for all the candidates participating in the said examination.

6. Counselling : Computerized Distributed parallel counselling would be conducted by the Board. All candidates appearing TS PGECET 2017 examination must remain in touch with the website of Board.

AP SSC 2017 Results 


The Scheme of Examinations and Pass Criteria for secondary Examinations conducted by the BSEAP Board, shall be as laid down from time to time.The Examination would be conducted in theory as well as in practicals, depending upon the nature of the subject(s) and the marks/grades allotted shall be as prescribed in the curriculum.Marks/grades shall be awarded for individual subjects and the aggregate marks shall not be given.

The school education department newly introduced   “Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)”  pattern of examination system for Implementation of Examination Reforms for Classes VI to IX from the Academic year 2015-16 and for class X from the Academic Year 2016-17.certain quantitative and qualitative measures were contemplated under the reforms such as reducing the number of papers from 11 to 9, giving 80% of the weightage to the Subject papers, and 20% of weightage to the Internal Assessment of the Student. The total marks of four Formative Assessments and two Summative Assessments conducted in an academic year will be accounted for 20% of marks in class X public examinations. Awarding the grades the Board shall put all the passed students in a rank order and will award grades as follows.

2. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks ( 40% marks for in case of SC / ST / BC / PH) either in the Master Degree in relevant subject or 5 years Integrated  course in the relevant subject of Methodology or any  other qualifying equivalent there to.

3. Candidates should have passed / appearing for final year examination of B.E / B.Tech with Science / Mathematics as one of the subject and candidates should secured a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination. 

4. The candidates who have passed  M.B.B.S / B.D.S / B.A.M.S / B.L / L.L.B / B.A (Languages) / B.O.L etc are not eligible for admission into B.Ed course.

Biological Sciences :

Part-A :

1. Reading Comprehension.

2. Correction of Sentences, Articles, Prepositions, Tenses, Spelling, Voice.
3. Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms.

4. Transformation of Sentences – Simple, Compound and Complex. Direct Speech and Indirect Speech.

Part-B :

1. Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general knowledge of the environment around him and its application to society.
2. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific outlook as is expected of an educated person.
3. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring Countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography,Ecology, Economics, General Policy and Scientific Research.

4. Teaching requires certain characteristics like ability to communicate, ability to deal with Children, ability to recognize individual differences etc., apart from analytical thinking and general intelligence. One who has these characteristics will be able.

Prior to the Exam

Important Instructions For Exam

1. Hall ticket issued to the candidate is an important document. Candidates are required to preserve it carefully. 

2. Candidate shall arrive at the examination hall at-least half on hour before commencement of the examination.

3. Calculators, Slide Rules, Geometry Box, Electronic Digital Watches with facilities of calculators, printed or written material and bits papers, mobile phones, pagers, Bluetooth or any other electronic gadget are not allowed inside the Examination Hall

4. The Entrance Examination Hall will be opened 30 minutes before the commencement of the test. Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall. If the candidates do not report in time, they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the Examination Hall.


5. A seat indicating roll number will be allocated to each candidate. Candidate should find out and occupy their allotted seat only. Any candidate found to have changed room or the seat on his/her own other than allotted, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and no plea would be accepted for it.

6. Candidate should not talk to another candidate or person inside or outside the examination hall without permission even after a warning by the invigilating staff.

7. Candidate should not possess papers, books or notes or written notes or any type of electronic gadgets on his clothes, body or table or chair, which is relevant to the examination.

8. Candidate must affix their signature in the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator in the examination hall.

9. No candidate shall be permitted to leave the examination hall before the time fixed for examination.


Instructions for Computer Based Examination  (CBT)

1. The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the admit card and an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator.

2.  The candidate is expected to have basic familiarity with use of computer like Keyboard and mouse operations. It is the responsibility of the candidate to acquire these skills before appearing for test and the authority cannot take responsibility for the same.

3. The candidate must ensure that the computer allotted to him / her is switched on and any problem with computer is to be intimated to the proctor immediately.

4. Candidates should maintain perfect silence, all actions of the candidate in the hall will be closely monitored using web cam and closed circuit cameras. Any conversation or gesticulation or disturbance in the test hall, should be deemed as misbehaviour and if any candidate is found using unfair means or  impersonation , his / her candidature will be cancelled and they will be liable to the debarred from taking examination either permanently or specified, as decided by the authority.

5. On completion of the test , computer will display the result in terms of number of total correct answers and wrong answers with the score.

AP EAMCET 2017 Ranking and Merit list


AP EAMCET 2017 authority declares the state merit list based on the scores obtained by the candidates in Online Engineering Agriculture Medical Common Entrance Test AP conducted Computer Based Test on April, 2017  and Intermediate weightage. Selection and placement of candidate shall be made purely on the basis of marks secured by him / her in the Entrance Test. Rank list shall be published on the basis of the result of Entrance Test both category -wise and subject-wise. The scores obtained have been calculate by assigning 

➤ 160 questions carrying a maximum of 160 marks

➤ +1 Marks for the correct answer

➤ 0 Mark for in correct answer

➤ 0 Marks for no answers

Shall be assigned ranking in the order of merit on the basis of combined score obtained by giving 75% weightage to the marks secured in AP EAMCET-2017 and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry of the qualifying examination. The qualifying score has been based on self declared Category by the candidate. Designated Admission authorities will be responsible to ascertain the Category of the candidate from their valid original documents at the time of admission.

Tie Breaking

the preparation of merit list, in case of more than one student securing the same combined score obtained as mentioned above, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative ranking by successively considering the following


1. The total marks secured in AP EAMCET-2017

2. The Marks secured in mathematics in entrance test

3. The marks secured in Physics in AP entrance test

4. The Percentage of Aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination If the tie still persists, the older (based on date of birth) being given preference over the younger

The weightage of marks, in case of candidates belonging to the category of Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders, will be decided by a committee constituted by the competent authority.

Salient Features

1. Separate Score Cards will not be sent by post or e-mail to the candidates.


2.  Admissions will be based on APEAMCET 2017 Rank, subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria.

3.  Admission to 85% of seats shall be reserved for the local candidates and 15 % of the seats shall be left unreserved as specified in the AP Educational Institutions order 1974 as amended.

4. Information regarding college-wise, course-wise and reservation category-wise seat distribution and fee structure will be made available by the respective Universities after declaration of results on the respective web sites


5. The candidates should have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent and secured a rank in entrance test conduct for the academic year concerned for admission into Universities Campus and affiliated colleges.

6. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with minimum percentage of marks when he/she is called for the counseling for admission, failing which the qualified candidates next in Rank would be admitted.

7. Admissions pertaining to all the colleges will be made through web counseling. 

8. If a candidate fails to attend the counseling (Certificates Verification) at the specified date and time for whatever reason (including non-receipt or delayed receipt of call letter), he/she will forfeit the seat and the candidate next in Rank will be considered for counseling. Any representation for postponement of the date and time of counseling or exemption from personal appearance will not be entertained.
