Important Instructions

1. Check the Admit card thoroughly for errors, if any , inform organizing authority.

2. Hall ticket issued to the candidate is an important document. Candidates are required to preserve it carefully. 

Instructions Regarding the Test

3. Candidate shall arrive at the examination hall at-least half on hour before commencement of the examination.

4. The candidates can use either Blue Ink Ball Point Pen or Black Ink Ball point Pen in examination.

5. Candidates should not bring no other papers except  the admit card to examination hall. 

6. Candidate should not bring log books, Tables, Calculators, Cell phones …..etc into the examination hall.   

7. Candidate must affix their signature in the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator in the examination hall.

Instructions Regarding Question Booklet

8.  The question booklet will be distributed in each class room , in case candidate finds any defects in the question booklets, bring it to the notice of the invigilator and get it replace with the same set which the candidate received previously before starting to write examination.

9. Candidate must put his / her signature on the front page of the question booklet at the appropriate place it, if he / she finds that there are no defects.

Instructions Regarding Answer Sheet

10Candidate must read the instruction given in the answer sheet carefully.

11. Use only Black / Blue Ball Point Pen to mark in the answer sheet.

12. In case the candidate finds any defect in the answer sheet, he / she should request the invigilator to change the same.  

13. Candidate shall fill in his / her Name, Roll No, Test Book let number and set of question printed on the front page of question booklet Part-1 in the  proper blocs as mentioned on the answer sheet.

Application Fee and Payment


1. 1. The General category candidates should pay the application fee of Rs 600/– while the SC / ST / PH reserved candidates have to pay Rs 500/

2. The fee may be paid through Andhra Bank / State Bank of India (SBI) chalan and also through payment Gateway ( Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking).

3.  In case a candidate want appear for than one test separate registration fee has to be paid for each test.

Eligibility Criteria for AUCET 2017


Nationality and Domicile

1. Candidate should should be of Indian Nationality.

2. Candidate should be belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh only and should satisfy Local / Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh State Educational Institutions or 1974 as subsequently amended.  

3. Candidate should satisfy Local / Non Local status requirement as per AP GO MS NO 153 

4. The candidate other than Indian National should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned.

Educational Qualifications

1. Candidate who have already passed their qualifying degree examination (or) who have appeared / appearing for the final year examination in 2017 only are eligible for entrance test. Candidates qualified in advanced supplementary examination of 2017 are also eligible.

2. Candidates from other recognized Universities are considered for for admission into PG Art and Science  courses only if they posses a there year Bachelor Degree of 10+2+3 or 12+3 or 11+1+3 pattern with the prescribed minimum percentage of marks,unless other wise specified

3. Candidate who acquired Bachelor Degree by Distance education without 10+2+3 pattern are also eligible admission into PG courses subject to submission of residence certificate.   

4. Bachelor Degree of B.A / B.SC / B.COM / B.A Lit and B.L from Universities other than Andhra Pradesh should be recognized by respective University as equivalent thereto.

5. The requirement for admission into all science and Engineering courses offered by these University is a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% marks for SC / ST) in group subjects of the qualifying examination.

6. The requirement for Arts ,Commerce and law courses is a pass qualifying Degree except for M.Sc Anthropology for which the requirement is a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% marks for SC / ST ) in group subjects of the qualifying examination .The requirement for M.Ed course is a pass with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% marks for SC / ST ).

7. Before applying for entrance test  the candidate verify the eligibility to write a particular test and seek admission into the related course.Eligibility criteria fixed for each course is given official website

Age Limit

There is no age restriction for AUCET (Self Financing) . However maximum eligible age for obtaining a Fee Reimbursement in respect of SC / ST and BC IS 34 Years and in respect of EBC / Minorities / Disabled id 30 Years.

How to Apply-AUCET 2017 Online Application form

The candidate after satisfying the eligibility criteria entrance test, can apply online mode at official website only. Candidate has to register for before filling the application, then login using the application number and password. After filling the application, then pay the fee. Candidate shall  take printout of the application and store it.

Step-1 : Fill details in Registration form

1. Logon in to the official website www.audoa.in

2. Click the button AUCET – 2017 entrance test for Science / Arts / Law post graduate courses for Apply.

3. After clicking the required button ,you will get a detailed menu options screen,click on Registration button in the left menu.

4. On filling the qualifying examination details like Medium,1st language…..etc,a list of eligible courses for your Degree combination will be listed on the left under “Eligible courses list” select the course you are interested to opt, and then you will find the list of test(s) and amount for the the selected courses”.

Step-2  : Fill details in  Application form and Upload photo & Signature 

6. After completion of registration details entry,your mobile will receive SMS of a security code,Type the security code in the “box” provided in Registration form, and immediately screen will display a messageverified in green button.

7. Then click “Register and Proceed” for filling the application with all academic and other details and upload  photo and signature maximum limit is 150 KB and Submit the application.

8. After it generates the acknowledgement slip, take the printout this print and pay the test fee by online using SBI Collect, after payment as fee in bank , after 24 hours you will get a mail with all the details submitted by online as a PDF file.

Step-3  : Fee Payment

9. Click on online ‘online payment’ from left side navigation panel for online payment or challan payment ,now click on the online payment through SBI COLLECT button read the instructions and click check box to proceed payment and click the proceed button.After your mobile will receive a message ” your application is submitted successfully” Take the print out of your application after 24 hours.

10. If you want to pay by challan ,you have to take printed copy of the challan and pay the application fee at any branch of SBI / Andhra Bank .After payment of challan,the applicant has to wait for one working day for getting your application successful registered after which you will receive application to your registered E-Mail after 24 hours.

11. If you select online payment and after successful payment is done using Debit card / Credit card / Net banking process. You will get an SMS to you registered mobile number and also get a E-Mail to registered E-Mail ID with complete AUCET application form details as PDF file after 24 hours.

Test Centers


The candidate should fill the name of one examination centre where she wants to appear in the test. Candidates applying more than one test are advised to opt for the same centre as there is a likelihood of clash of dates and timings. Selection Procedure


1. Based on the merit in the entrance test.

2. Admission into of college depends on it Recognition / Affiliation by the statutory bodies and option of the college exercised in counseling.

3. Rule of reservation.

4. Admission to 85% of seats shall be reserved for local candidates and 15% of the seats shall be left unreserved of specified in the AP Educational Institution order  1974 as amended.

Exam Pattern for AUCET 2017

The entrance test conducted in Offline mode as a Paper-Pen Based Test. The paper will consist of 100 objective type and Multiple choice questions in 2 & 1/2 hours duration. Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will awarded 1 mark. The unanswered questions or multiple answers will receive nil marks. No negative marks.

AUCET 2017 | AU PGCET will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam behalf of APSCHE. The common entrance test for entry of students into various PG courses Science, Arts, Engineering and Law courses offered in campus colleges of AU, Visakhapatnam, BRAU, Srikakulam PG centers and colleges affiliated to AU & BRAU offered PG courses . AUCET 2017 Exam pattern as follows……..




1. There will be one question paper for 1 1/2  hours (90 Minutes) duration.

2. The question paper will be in Telugu & English except languages. 

3. The question paper will carry a total 100 marks.  

4. The question paper will contain a total of 100 questions with Objective type and Multiple choice.Each question carries out of one mark.

5. Multiple  choice  questions  with four  alternatives  A,B,C,D candidate can mark one  option out  of the  given  options,the candidate gives more then one answers will be ignored while awarding marks.

6. The answers for the questions are to marked on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet darking the respective ovals will Black /Blue pen only.  

7. No negative marks.

OUCET 2017 Ranking

Osmania University declares the state Rank list based on the scores obtained by the candidates Paper Based OU PGCET 2017 Test conducted subjects of Arts, Science, Languages, Commerce offline on May / 2017. Selection and placement of candidate shall be made purely on the basis of marks secured by him / her in the Entrance Test. The scores obtained have been calculate by assigning 

➤ +1 Marks for the correct answer

➤ 0 Mark for in correct answer

➤ 0 Marks for no answers

Rank list shall be published on the basis of the result of Entrance Test both category -wise and subject-wise. The candidates will be admitted into a course / subject based on the ranks secured in the concerned OU Common Entrance Test subject to rules of reservations. In case of a tie in the rank, the order of merit will be decided on the following basis 

1.  marks secured in Part A of Common Entrance Test.

2.  age of the candidate (senior in age getting higher priority)

3. percentage of marks secured by the candidate in qualifying examination.


A state merit ranking has been arrived based on the Score of the candidate. The qualifying score has been based on self declared Category by the candidate. Designated Admission authorities will be responsible to ascertain the Category of the candidate from their valid original documents at the time of admission.

OU PGCET 2017 Results

Osmania University Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is state level qualifying examination for admission to various PG and 5-years Integrated courses . Every year OU conducts OUCET exam for Degree holders . In similar manner OU has conducted 2017 test in the month of May 2017. OUCET 2017 Cutoff

The cutoff marks are very important for each appearing candidate. The candidate can get an idea of minimum marks required for qualification of the exam by knowledge of the cutoff marks. The cutoff will be on the basis of number of applicants and complexity of this exam. The exam will be conducted 100 marks in 1 & 1/2 hours duration.

Counselling 

The eligible candidates will be admitted to various courses through the process of web based counselling. The qualified candidates desirous of seeking admission have to exercise options through web upon which the provisional allotment of admissions to qualified candidates will be made through a process of web based counselling. Those candidates who are allotted a provisional admission will have to attend for certificate verification in person along with the original certificates and two sets of xerox copies.

Admission Process

1. The candidates should have passed Bachelor Degree and secured a rank in OUCET 2017 conduct for the academic year concerned for admission into University Campus and affiliated colleges.

2. Admissions will be based on OU PGCET 2017 Rank, subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria.

3. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with minimum percentage of marks when he/she is called for the counseling for admission, failing which the qualified candidates next in Rank would be admitted.

4. Candidates have to attend the counseling at the date and time at their own expenses with the required original documents and fees.

5. If a candidate fails to attend the counseling at the specified date and time for whatever reason (including non-receipt or delayed receipt of call letter), he/she will forfeit the seat and the candidate next in Rank will be considered for counseling. Any representation for postponement of the date and time of counseling or exemption from personal appearance will not be entertained.

6. Late comers for the counseling on the scheduled date will be considered for the available vacancies at that point of time only. If a candidate attends on the subsequent date of the counseling in the same phase, he/she may be considered on the next day before the counseling for the candidates scheduled for the day.

7. If a candidate reports after the counseling for the subject in a given phase is over such a candidate will be considered for admission in the next phase of counseling subject to the availability of vacancy in the subject and category concerned.

Salient Features 

1. Separate Score Cards will not be sent by email or by post to the candidates.

2. The OUCET 2017 exam score will be valid for one year from the date of announcement of the result for admission to any course.

3. Candidates should note that there will be a separate entrance test in Statistics for admission into M.Sc. Statistics and Applied Statistics courses.

4. Admission of a candidate into the same course which he / she has already completed either through regular mode or through distance mode from any recognized university / institute is not allowed. This is applicable even if the course is completed with different specialization.

5. The reimbursement of fee/scholarship is allowed only for those who pursue a PG Programme for the 1st time. For those who have already pursued any PG Course(s), the fee/scholarship reimbursement is not allowed.

6. Candidates who have completed degree with single subject in open/distance mode of education are not eligible for P.G. Courses.


7. Admissions are conducted through a process of web based counselling. Before allotment of admissions, the qualified candidates have to exercise options through web in the order of their preference.

8. 5% Supernumerary seats in each course in campus and constituent colleges of universities are available to the candidates belonging to the states other than Telangana and Andhra Pradesh under National Integration Quota.

9. Post Graduate Courses -39, P.G Diploma Courses-10, 5-Year Integrated Programmmes-3 .

General Instructions

1. Check the Admit card thoroughly for errors, if any , inform organizing authority.

2. Hall ticket issued to the candidate is an important document. Candidates are required to preserve it carefully. 

Instructions Regarding the Test

3. Candidate shall arrive at the examination hall at-least half on hour before commencement of the examination.

4. The candidates can use either Blue Ink Ball Point Pen or Black Ink Ball point Pen in examination.

5. Candidates should not bring no other papers except  the admit card to examination hall. 

6. Candidate should not bring log books, Tables, Calculators, Cell phones …..etc into the examination hall.   

7. Candidate must affix their signature in the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator in the examination hall.

Instructions Regarding Question Booklet

8.  The question booklet will be distributed in each class room , in case candidate finds any defects in the question booklets, bring it to the notice of the invigilator and get it replace with the same set which the candidate received previously before starting to write examination.

9. Candidate must put his / her signature on the front page of the question booklet at the appropriate place it, if he / she finds that there are no defects.



Instructions Regarding Answer Sheet

10Candidate must read the instruction given in the answer sheet carefully.

11. Use only Black / Blue Ball Point Pen to mark in the answer sheet.

12. In case the candidate finds any defect in the answer sheet, he / she should request the invigilator to change the same.  

13. Candidate shall fill in his / her Name, Roll No, Test Book let number and set of question printed on the front page of question booklet Part-1 in the  proper blocs as mentioned on the answer sheet.

14. Alight or faintly darkened circle is a wrong method of marking and liable to be rejected by the optical scanner. So the circle should be properly darkened.

Eligibility Criteria for OUCET 2017


Nationality and Domicile

1. Candidate should should be of Indian Nationality.

2. Candidate should be belong to the state of Telangana only and should satisfy Local / Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Telangna State Educational Institutions or 1974 as subsequently amended.  

3. Candidate should satisfy Local / Non Local status requirement as per TS GO  MS NO 25 & 108

4. The candidate other than Indian National should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned.

Educational Qualifications

1. All the courses are of two years duration.

2. Candidates should have passed B.SC, B.A (or) equivalent examination will not less than 40% in the aggregate (Part-2) (In case of SC / ST candidates a pass in the qualifying examination is sufficient) and studied the subject is given official website.

3. Candidates passing the Bachelors Degree examination compartmentally are also eligible provided they secured not less than 40% aggregate marks and pass in the qualifying examination is sufficient for SC / ST.


4. Candidate who are appearing / appeared for the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for the entrance test. Candidates should be required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of admission.

5. Must ensure their courses eligibility / equivalence before appearing for the entrance test, given in official website.

Age Limit

There is no age restriction for OUCET (Self Financing) . However maximum eligible age for obtaining a Fee Reimbursement in respect of SC / ST and BC is 34 Years and in respect of EBC / Minorities / Disabled id 30 Years.

How to Apply- Online Application Form for OUCET 2017

The candidate after satisfying the eligibility criteria OU PGCET, after applicant has to register for before filling the application, then login using the application number and password. After filling the application, then pay the fee (Online mode). Candidate shall  take printout of the application and store it for future use. The registration and submission of application form in involves following steps.


Step : 1  Registration and Fee Payment

1. Login to the official website http://oucet.ouadmissions.com.

2. Now click on the ” Apply Online” link, then new webpage appear on the screen. Then click on the “Registration” link.

3. After clicking the link you will redirected to registration form, fill the details like Candidate Name, Date of Birth, Active E-Mail Id, Working mobile number, number of entrance tests to be be taken, fill primary information and and the requisite registration fee is paid.

4.  The registration fee may be paid at any TS / AP Online centers or by using Credit / Debit Card / Net Banking.

5.  After completion of registration details entry,your mobile will receive SMS of a “Registration Id”.

Step-3  Fill up of Online application

 1. Filling of the online application form is allowed only after registration and authorization of your payment.

2. you will get a detailed menu options screen,click on “Online application form” link in the left menuonline application form login web page will be displayed.

3. Enter the details of Application no / Registration Id and click submit button application form will be displayed.

Qualifying Marks in OUCET 2017


Qualifying cutoff mark in the entrance test is 25% (25 marks out of total 100 marks). However for candidate belonging to SC / ST no qualifying percentage marks  is prescribed.

8. The candidate must ensure that the computer allotted to him / her is switched on and any problem with computer is to be intimated to the proctor immediately.

9. All the question will be in Telugu & English medium only. All the questions will be of multiple choice. Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark. The unanswered questions will receive will nil marks.

9. At any point of time during exam, a ready reference of the questions answered, not answered, marked for review is displayed on the right side of the screen.

15. In case of automatic or manual log out, all your attempted responses will be saved. Also, the exam will start from the time where it had stopped.

16. Please inform the invigilator in case of any technical issues.

Don’ts

13. You may view Instructions at any point of time during exam, by clicking on the Instructions button on your screen if necessary/required.
14. The Submit button will be activated at the end of exam. Please keep checking the timer on your screen. Please ensure that you click the SUBMIT button before completing the test.

15. In case of automatic or manual log out, all your attempted responses will be saved. Also, the exam will start from the time where it had stopped.

16. Please inform the invigilator in case of any technical issues.

17. On completion of the test , computer will display the result in terms of number of total correct answers and wrong answers with the score.

Don’ts


1. Do not touch the key board, as your exam ID will get locked. If your ID gets locked, please inform a nearby invigilator who will help in unlocking your ID and then you can continue with the exam.

2. Do not indulge in malpractices of any kind in the exam room.

3. Do not talk to or disturb other candidates

4. You cannot leave exam room before 150 min. Please inform the invigilator if you want to use the rest room.
