ICET 2017 :  Notification, Exam date, Online Application form, Eligibility, Fee, Important dates, Exam schedule, Syllabus, Exam pattern, How to Apply-Application form, Answer keyAndhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test popularly known as AP ICET 2017 Notification and examination details has been announced by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Applications are invited from candidates who intend to take admissions into Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications(MCA) (Full time / Distance Mode) courses offered in Universities and affiliated professional colleges across the Andhra Pradesh State for the academic session 2017-2018. Eligible and interested candidates may submit their application through online at official website.


Candidates qualified in AP ICET 2017 are also eligible for the admission into Dr.B.R Ambedkar Open University and M.B.A & M.C.A courses offered in by State Universities in distance mode.

Application Fee and Payment 

1. The General / Reserved category candidates should pay the application fee of Rs 450/- 

2. The fee may be paid at any AP Online Center and also through Payment Gateway (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking).

Eligibility Criteria for AP ICET 2017

Nationality and Domicile 

1. Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.

2. Candidate should be belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh only and should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational institutions or 1974 as subsequently amended.

3. Candidate should satisfy Local / Non-Local status requirements as per AP GO MS No 153.   

4. The candidates other than Indian National should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned.

Educational Qualifications

1. For MBA :  Should have passed recognized Bachelors Degree examination of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC / ST reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.

2. For MCA : Should have passed recognized Bachelors Degree examination of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC / ST reserved categories) in the qualifying examination with Mathematics or one of the subject at (10+2) level.

3. Candidates who are appearing / appeared for the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for the entrance test. Candidate should be required to produced mark list and pass certificate at the time of admission.

4. The qualifying Degree obtained by distance mode program should have recognition by Joint committee of UGC,AICTE and DEC.

Age Limit 

There is no age restriction for appearing for ICET (Self financing). However maximum eligible age for obtaining a Fee Reimbursement in respect of SC / ST and BC 34 Years and in respect of EBC / Minorities / Disabled is 30 Years.

How to Apply-Online application form for AP ICET 2017

The candidate after satisfying the eligibility criteria ICET,can apply  online mode only.The registration process will be held in two phases, in the 1st phase the aspirants are required to pay the application fee while in the second phase, the candidates can fill the online application and submit it. Candidate shall  take printout of the an store it for future reference.

Step-1 :  Payment of Application fee

Registration Fee in Offline

1.  Visit any of the AP Online Center with following mandatory details and pay requisite fee.

Hall ticket number of SSC or equivalent and Month, Year of passing 

3. You will receive a receipt of fee at above centers containing “Journal number “. Can proceed will submission of application.

Registration Fee in Online  

1. Login to the official website,clicking on ‘online payment’ select the post applying for APICET and District belongs to and enter the personal details.

2. Choose the appropriate option mode of ‘payment of Gateway’ and select the Bank .Clicking on ‘make payment’ and submit.
3. Completing the banking process shall receive “Journal Number”,can proceed will submission of application. 

Step-2  : Fill up of Online application

1. Login to the official website http://sche.ap.gov.in/icet, a new webpage appear on the screen. 

2. After clicking the link following details will be displayed

3. Then click on the Fill Application ” link, a new webpage appear on the screen. 

4. After clicking the button the following “Payment verification” webpage will appear on the screen.Fill all the details in the respective fields completed after clicking the button “Proceed filling application form”application will be displayed.
5. Fill the entire academic, study , reservation and personal details . Upload photo and signature and click “Save” button.

6. Finally click submit button,take the printout application mentioning the “Reference Id” (Registration Id).

7. Click on appearing as ” Print Application” link, enter the required details and click submit button.

Exam pattern for AP ICET 2017

The entrance test conducted in Online / Offline. The paper  will consist of 200 objective type and multiple choice questions in 2 & 1/2 hours duration. Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will awarded 1 mark. The unanswered  questions or multiple answers will receive nil marks. No negative marks.

AP ICET 2017 Syllabus

Section-A : Analytical Ability

1. Data Sufficiency:

A question is given followed by data in the form of two statements labeled as (a) and (b ). If the data given in (a) alone is sufficient to answer the question then choice (1) is the correct answer. If the data given in (b) alone is sufficient to answer the question then choice (2) is the correct answer. If both (a) and (b) put together are sufficient to answer the question but neither statement alone is sufficient, then choice (3) is the correct answer. If both (a) and (b) put together are not sufficient to answer the question and additional data is needed, then choice (4) is the correct answer.

2. Problem Solving :

1) Sequences and Series: Analogies of numbers and alphabet, completion of blank spaces following the pattern in a:b::c:d relationship; odd thing out: missing number in a sequence or a series.

 2) Data Analysis: The data given in a Table, Graph, Bar diagram, Pie Chart, Venn Diagram or a Passage is to be analyzed and the questions pertaining to the data are to be answered.

3) Coding and Decoding Problems: A code pattern of English Alphabet is given. A given word or a group of letters are to be coded or decoded based on the given code or codes.

4)Date, Time & Arrangement Problems: Calendar problems, clock problems, blood relationships, arrivals, departures and schedules, seating arrangements, symbol and notation interpretation.

Section-B :  Mathematical Ability

1. Arithmetical Ability :

Laws of indices, ratio and proportion; surds; numbers and divisibility, l.c.m. and g.c.d; Rational numbers, Ordering.; Percentages; Profit and loss; Partnership, Pipes and cisterns, time, distance and work problems, areas and volumes, mensuration, modular arithmetic.

2.  Algebraical and Geometrical Ability :

Statements, Truth tables, implication converse and inverse, Tautologies-Sets, Relations and functions, applications – Equation of a line in different forms.

Trigonometry – Trigonometric ratios, Trigonometric ratios of standard angles, (0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, 180°): Trigonometric identities: sample problems on heights and distances, Polynomials; Remainder theorem and consequences; Linear equations and expressions; Progressions, Binomial Theorem, Matrices, Notion of a limit and derivative; Plane geometry – lines, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Circles, Coordinate geometry-distance between points.

3.  Statistical Ability:

Frequency distributions, Mean, Median, Mode, Standard Deviation, Correlation, simple problems on Probability

Section-C : Communication Ability

Part 1: Vocabulary

Part 2: Business and Computer terminology

Part 3: Functional Grammar

Part 4: Reading Comprehension (3 Passages)

Selection Procedure 

1. Based on the merit in the entrance test

2. Admission into any college depends on its Recognition / Affiliation by the statutory Bodies and Option of the college exercised in counseling.

3. Rule of Reservation

4. Admission to 85% of seats shall be reserved for the local candidates and 15% of the seats shall be left unreserved as specified in the AP Educational Institutions order 1974 as amended.

Answer Key 

SVU University will publish the answer key of the test in the official website. Candidate can calculate their marks in entrance test, after knowing the total number of answers correctly marked by them, with the help of key. If any candidate has complaints regarding the key  questions the same shall be submitted to organizing authority in writing a along with supporting documents being challenges before date of result.

Qualifying Marks in AP ICET 2017

Qualifying cut-off mark in the entrance test is 25% (50 marks out of total 200 marks). However for candidate belonging to SC / ST “No” minimum qualifying percentage marks is prescribed.
