Through the CMS 2026 exam, UPSC will recruit doctors for different medical posts such as:

• Medical Officer in Central Health Services

• Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Railways

• General Duty Medical Officer

UPSC CMS Recruitment 2026 Eligibility 

Education :

Candidates must have MBBS degree from a recognized university. Students who are appearing in the final year of MBBS can also apply.

Age Limit:

Maximum age: 32 years (as on 1 August 2026)

Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per government rules.

1.Written Examination

Total Marks: 500

Two objective papers

Duration: 2 hours each

Negative marking: 1/3 marks deducted for wrong answers

2. Personality Test / Interview

Marks: 100

Final selection is based on total marks (600) from written exam and interview.
