Salary & Consolidated Pay Slabs
Junior Engineer: ₹41,190 – ₹45,050 per month
Assistant Engineer: ₹43,880 – ₹45,050 per month
Deputy Engineer / Executive: ₹49,140 – ₹54,990 per month
Additional Engineer / Engineer (Safety): ₹67,860 – ₹78,390 per month
Allowances & Additional Perks
Site / Metro Allowance: 7.5% of pay for site locations; 2.5% for metro postings.
Annual Increment: 3% of consolidated pay per year.
Medical Benefits :
OPD/IPD coverage at Ispat Hospital (Ranchi) or Mediclaim reimbursement up to ₹15,000 annually (₹4 Lakh floater cover).

MECON FTFT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Full-time/regular B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) / Diploma in relevant discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mining, Chemical, Environmental, etc.) or M.Sc in relevant sciences from a recognized university/institute.
Post-Qualification Work Experience: Relevant full-time work experience ranging from 1 to 16 years depending on the post code:
Junior Engineer: 1 to 2 years
Assistant Engineer: 2 to 5 years
Deputy Engineer: 5 to 10 years
Ineligible Experience: Articleship, internships, academic projects, teaching, and research experience are not counted toward post-qualification experience. (Apprenticeship and PSU Management Trainee periods are accepted).
