Apple Watch Series 7: When it goes on sale in India and at what price

Apple Watch Series 7 is finally here and comes with a Series 6-like design but with a few enhancements. The biggest upgrade that Apple brings is that the new Apple Watch Series 7 comes with borders that are 40 per cent reduced, translating to nearly 20 per cent more screen area than the Series 6. Apple adds that the new Apple Watch Series 7 offers over 50 per cent more screen space than the Series 3. The company adds that the new Watch is 70 per cent brighter indoors when the user’s wrist is down.

The Apple Watch Series 7 comes with a wraparound effect that’s created by refracted light at the edge of the display. In addition, for the first time, Apple is adding a QWERTY keyboard on its smartwatch, which will let users tap or slide with QuickPath.

During the keynote, Apple also claimed that the new Apple Watch Series 7 is the “most durable Apple Watch ever built” and comes with what the company calls the strongest front crystal ever. The Apple Watch Series 7 also comes with IP6X certification for dust resistance and WR50 for water resistance.

With the launch of the new Apple Watch Series 7, the company also confirmed that it is discontinuing the Series 6. So from now on, Apple will be selling the new Apple Watch Series 7, Apple Watch SE, and Apple Watch Series 3 globally.

With a slight change in the design to increase the display area, the Apple Watch Series 7 will come in all-new 41mm and 45mm sizes. In terms of battery, Apple claims that the Series 7 comes with 33 per cent faster charging than the Series 6.

The Apple Watch Series 7 has been launched in new aluminium case colours, including midnight, starlight, green, and a new blue and (PRODUCT)RED. Additionally, Apple confirmed that the Apple Watch Series 7 offers backward compatibility with previously released Apple Watch bands.
