Delhi schools reopen for all classes today, strict Covid-19 guidelines in place

Schools in Delhi reopened for all classes on Monday after remaining closed for 19 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Students were seen streaming into Delhi schools early this morning, but not before they were thermal screened and their hands spritzed with sanitisers.

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) had last week announced that schools would reopen for all classes from November 1. It also said that schools would have to ensure that there is not more than 50 per cent attendance in a class at a time.

Some schools have opted to reopen after the festive week is over. Even after reopening, teaching and learning would continue in both online and offline mode, the DDMA has said.
