MAH MCA CET Notification 2024

MAH MCA CET is state level entrance exam for access to 2-Year Regular Post graduate courses , who passed Degree or its equivalent examination. Generally  issue of notice in the Month of January and online exam will conducted in May.  All the MCA  Institutes in  State depends on the MCA-CET score for the admission process, so eligible candidates may apply entrance test through online Application form only through the official website on or before last date.

MAH MCA CET 2024 Eligibility

Nationality :

Candidate should be of Indian Nationality and should belongs to Maharashtra state  

Educational Qualifications :

1.Candidates must have passed the BCA or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree  with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (45% for the applicants belonging to reserved category) from a recognized University / Institution. OR

Passed B.Sc. or B.Com. or B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (45% for the applicants belonging to reserved category) from a recognized University.

2.Candidates who are appearing / appeared for the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for the entrance test. Candidate should be required to produced mark list and pass certificate at the time of admission

MAH MCA CET Online Application form 2024

Maharashtra State Common Entrance test cell, Mumbai  will be released the MAH MCA CET   Application form in online mode. In order to apply for MCA CET 2024 you have to submit application through online at official website. Before applying candidates can fill the registration form, After filling the online application with the required details by using Login Id and Password, After that pay the application fee, then  verify all the details carefully and click submit button , filled in  MAH MCA CET Online Application 2024 will generated that contains ” Application Number” along with filled details.

How to Apply :  MAH MCA CET 2024 Registration

1. Visit to the official website https://cetcell.mahacet.org

2. Now Click on the link appearing as “MAH MCA CET 2024”. A new web page will appear on the screen, click on the  ” Apply Online” Link.

3. After clicking the link you will redirected to registration form, fill the details like Candidate Name, Date of Birth, Active E-Mail Id, Working mobile number and choose your “Pass word”.

4.Completing registration details entry, then click ” Register ” button, after your screen will display a message ” you have successful registered for “MAH MCA CET 2024″. Please note them Application Number, Pass word for future reference.

5. Now click on ” Candidate Login” on the top menu, enter the application number, Pass word and Security code.

6. Entry’s are correct, a new webpage will appear on the screen, click on  “Fill up of Application” link.

7. Fill the entire academic, study , reservation and personal details . Upload photo and signature and click “Save” button.

8. This is also a one time procedure. If candidate is sure that all the information correct then  click on ” Final submission” link. 

9.Candidate has to pay the fee in online mode, click on the ” Online payment” link , fill the required details and pay the application fee 

10. Click on appearing as ” Print your Application” link, enter the required details and click submit button. The ID no in PDF application form has to be quoted for future reference.

Syllabus for MAH MCA CET 2024

• Mathematics & Statistics 

Algebra : Fundamental operations in Algebra, Expansion, factorization, Quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, binomial theorem, permutations and combinations.

Co-ordinate Geometry : Rectangular Cartesian co-ordinates, equations of a line, mid point, intersections etc., equations of a circle, distance formulae, pair of straight lines, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola, simple geometric transformations such as translation, rotation, scaling.

Differential Equations : Differential equations of first order and their solutions, linear differential equations with constant coefficients, homogeneous linear differential equations.

Trigonometry : Simple identities, trigonometric equations, properties of triangles, solution of triangles, height and distance, inverse function.

Probability and Statistics : Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, and measures of dispersions, skewness and kurtosis, random variable and distribution functions, mathematical expectations, Binomial, Poisson, normal distributions, curve fitting, and principle of least squares, correlation and regression.

Arithmetic : Ratios and proportions, problems on time-work, distance-speed, percentage, etc.

Basic Set Theory and Functions: Set, relations and mappings.

Mensuration : areas, triangles and quadrilaterals, area and circumference of circles, volumes and surface areas of simple solids such as cubes, spheres, cylinders and cones.

• Logical / Abstract Reasoning 

This shall include the questions to measure how quickly and logically you can think. This section will cover logical situations and questions based on the facts given in the passage. This test shall check the problem solving capability of the candidate.

• English comprehension and verbal ability

Questions in this section will be designed to test the candidate’s general understanding of the English language. There will be questions on the topics such as Basic English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, synonyms, antonyms, sentence correction, word & phrases, jumbled paragraphs.

• Computer Concept

Computer Basics : Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Structure of instructions in CPU, input / output devices, computer memory, memory organization, back-up devices.

Data Representation : Representation of characters, integers, and fractions, binary and hexadecimal
representations, Binary Arithmetic: Addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, signed arithmetic and two’s complement arithmetic, floating point representation of numbers, normalized floating point representation, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams.

Computer Architecture : Basics of Digital Logic ,Block structure of computers, communication between processor and I / O devices, interrupts.

Computer Language: Fundamentals of Data & File Structures and high level language, Computer Programming in C, advanced concepts in programming and Operating System basics.
