COHSEM Class 12 Exam Routine 2020
The Council of Higher Secondary Education shortly called as COHSEM and was established 1992, before the establishment of the council the +2 courses in the state were conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur as Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate course in the Higher Secondary Schools and pre-university course by the Manipur University in the college, but with establishment of the council the +2 courses of the Board of Secondary Education and Manipur University were taken over and amalgamated into HSE course under Council of Higher Secondary Education. The council conducted the Higher Secondary Examination in the year of 1993 as its first public examination in the state.
The main aims of the Board shall be to provide secondary and Senior secondary education and, for this purpose grant recognition to the required number of such schools in the territory, to pay special attention to the improvement of the secondary and higher secondary education so that it meets the required needs and standards of economic and social development. After X standard every year about approximately 30,000 students enroll in the 2-Year Higher Secondary courses. The courses offered by the Department are broadly classified under the categories of Arts, Science and Commerce . Functions of the Board
- To prescribe courses of instruction for examinations
- Conduct examinations of Higher Secondary classes XI and XII.
