his Act may be called the AP University of Health Sciences Act, 1986. [The name of the University of Health Sciences Act, 1986 was amended as “NTR University of Health Sciences AP Act, 1986” vide Act No.4 of 1998.To fulfill the objectives of the University many steps have been taken. Prominent Professors / Experts from the affiliated colleges are nominated as the members of the Board of Studies and Academic Senate. 

The University is offering various UG, PG, Super Speciality, Ph.D & PDF Courses in Modern Medicine, Dental Surgery, Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Para Medical Graduate Courses in its affiliated colleges.
