Punjab School Education Board will soon declare the PSEB 10th Class Date Sheet 2018 and Exam date for students (regular and private) who are enrolled the 10th Class final examination for the academic session 2017-2018. Every year High School public examination begins from February and ends in the month of March. Every year lakhs of students appear for the Xth public examination. Every year Punjab State High School final examination conducted by PSEB Board, on behalf of Punjab state government, give the exam dates and Time schedule Matric examination for class 10th regular and private students of the state. Generally authority issues the time table in December, for the board exam to be conducted in the March. Punjab Board 10th Class Date sheet 2018
Punjab School Education Board shortly called as PSEB and was established in November 1969, for development and promotion of school education in the state of Punjab , Vidhan Sabha amended the boards ACT to grant it autonomy the scope of Boards. Due to the increasing number of students per year, the work load is also increased and the board is handling all the academic matters related with framing of syllabus for all the classes 1-12th Class, including 10th, 11th and 12th. The board has decided to improve the evaluation system and there results, has set up divisional offices of the board. The board also provides affiliation to many schools in all over the state.
The board responsible for determining the policy related administrative, cognitive and intellectual direction of the state educational system. Every year the student strength increasing tremendously. The board also provides affiliation to many schools in all over the state. The board functions extensively and covers wide area including every aspect of education. They leave no stone upturned to provide maintenance education to the studies. The board also arranges for the preparation , compilation, improvement publication, printing and distribution of text books for 1st to 12th are also done by board.The Board conducts the examination each year and provide the certification to qualified students.
Functions of the Board
- To conduct Matriculation, Senior Secondary and examinations of other courses prescribed by the Board.
- To Prepare courses of studies, Text books, teaching materials etc
- To Publish and distributes text books, syllabuses, lesson notes, work books and other related materials.
- To issue certificates of the examinations conducted by the Board and equivalence certificate to the examinations of other state boards.
- To recognize the secondary / Higher schools for examinations of the Board.
- To Make regulations for undertaking different functions of the Board.
- To take care of Secondary Education through Orientation programmes, refresher Courses and other academic programmes.
