Punjab School Education Board will soon declare the Punjab 12th Date Sheet 2018 pdf and Exam date for students (regular and private) who are enrolled the Plus Two final examination for the academic session 2017-2018 in science, Arts, Commerce and Vocational courses. Every year Punjab State Annual Higher Secondary examination conducted by PSEB Board on behalf of state government, give the exam dates and Time schedule XIIth examination for class 12th regular and private students of the state. Generally authority issues the time table in last week of December for the board exam to be conducted in the March. Punjab School Education Board shortly called as PSEB and was established in November 1969, for development and promotion of school education in the state of Punjab , Vidhan Sabha amended the boards ACT to grant it autonomy the scope of Boards. Due to the increasing number of students per year, the work load is also increased and the board is handling all the academic matters related with framing of syllabus for all the classes 1-12th Class, including 10th, 11th and 12th. The board has decided to improve the evaluation system and there results, has set up divisional offices of the board. The board also provides affiliation to many schools in all over the state.
The board responsible for determining the policy related administrative, cognitive and intellectual direction of the state educational system. Every year the student strength increasing tremendously. The board also provides affiliation to many schools in all over the state. The board functions extensively and covers wide area including every aspect of education. They leave no stone upturned to provide maintenance education to the studies. The board also arranges for the preparation , compilation, improvement publication, printing and distribution of text books for 1st to 12th are also done by board.The Board conducts the examination each year and provide the certification to qualified students.
Functions of the Board
- To prescribe courses of instruction for examinations
- Conduct examinations of Matriculation and Senior Secondary classes .
- To prescribe conditions of examinations, conduct examinations and responsible for making necessary arrangements for the same.
- To publish the results of external examinations
- Advise the Government in standard requirement in respect of staff, buildings, furniture, equipment , stationery and other amenities required for Higher Secondary schools.
- To prepare the curricula, syllabus and test books in accordance with the approved courses of study.
