Tripura Board of School Education shortly called as TBSE and was established 1976, located at Agartala. Before 1976, all the High and Higher Secondary Schools of Tripura were affiliated under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and the students of Tripura had to appear at the school final and higher secondary examinations conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. It was in 1976 that the TBSE conducted its first public examinations. With the abolition of old courses, the Tripura board now conducts 2-major public examinations Madhyamik Pariskha (Secondary Examination) and Higher Secondary Examination (+2) examination (Both General and Vocational courses) examinations since 1981.

The Tripura Board of Secondary Education is one of the few Board in the country which has introduced Centralized Evaluation System from its very inception. Today the board is entrusted to meet the demands of modern day education which has undergone rapid change in a highly globalized environment. Responsibilities of the Board

1.Grant and withdraw recognition to the Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools.

2. Advise the government on matters of policy relating secondary and higher secondary education in general and other matters.

3. Lay down guiding principles regarding curricula and syllabus for entire  secondary and higher secondary courses and to prepare the detailed syllabus for all standards of 10th and 12th.

4. Prescribe conditions for admission of regular and private candidates to the final examinations.

5. Declare the results of the candidates at the final examination.

In the year 2016, an number of students appeared for the examination 47,542 which 53.19 were boys and 56.18 were girls and the overall percentage is 55.37.  While are talking about the year 2017 for the same thing a number  of students appeared for the examination 51,292 which 60.84 were boys and 57.75 were girls and the overall percentage is 59.31, it is clear that the percentage of the Result is increase day by day.

The Board has ventured to conduct the Supplementary examination for the failed candidate of the examination of March in June month of every year itself, this will enable the students who would be successful in the June examination to join higher education courses in the same academic year from July itself. According to official notification, the candidates who have failed to clear the exam can submit their examination form and fee for compartment examination.

The Sikkim Secondary Board will be released TBSE Madhyamik Result 2020 along with the total pass percentage of the students, who have written the 10th along with pass percentage of the students of Boys and girls separately, state wise merit list, top-10 number scores and name and state wide top-10 numbers scores and Names. The result contain a name, roll number, father name, total marks, grade…etc. Candidates can check the result SMS or online modes. The original mark sheet and passing certificate would be collected from the respective colleges / schools.
