Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
All eligibility conditions are calculated as of September 1, 2026.
1. Educational Qualification
Degree Requirements: Must possess a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent Central Government-recognized qualification.
NATS Registration: Candidates must have a 100% complete profile on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal (nats.education.gov.in) prior to applying.
2. Age Limit (as on 01.09.2026)
Minimum Age: 20 Years
Maximum Age: 28 Years (Candidates must be born between 02.09.1998 and 01.09.2006 inclusive).
Age Relaxation Rules :
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Widows / Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (UR/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST)
3. Ineligibility Factors
Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training in Canara Bank or any other organization are not eligible.
Candidates with job experience of 1 year or more after completing their degree are ineligible.

Selection Process
The selection process does not involve a written competitive entrance exam:
1.Merit List Preparation: State-wise merit lists will be prepared based on marks obtained in Class 12th (HSC/10+2) or Diploma.
2. Local Language Proficiency Test
Exemption: Candidates who studied the selected local language in 10th or 12th standard (as supported by mark sheets) are exempt.
Candidates without proof must pass a Local Language Test conducted during Document Verification.
3. Document Verification & Medical Fitness: Document checking and medical standard assessment prior to engagement.

Stipend: Selected apprentices will receive a consolidated stipend of ₹16,650 per month during the 1-year training period.
