3 dead, 11 injured as tanker rams into nearly 15 vehicles on Katraj-Mumbai road in Pune

Three people were killed and 11 others were injured after a tanker scraped past a seven-seater vehicle which went off the road, and then rammed into nearly 15 vehicles near Navle Bridge on Katraj-Mumbai road in Pune on Friday evening.

The tanker, containing thinner used in the paint industry, was coming from Bangalore and was headed towards Mumbai when the accident happened, said Senior Inspector Devidas Gheware of Singhad Road police station.

The tanker was speeding fast and at around 9pm, it lost control, and rammed into the moving vehicles.
