Airtel Rs 349 prepaid plan now gives 2.5GB daily data, Rs 299 plan gets extended validity

Airtel Rs 349 prepaid plan now gives 2.5GB daily data, Rs 299 plan gets extended validity : Earlier this month, Jio rolled out five new prepaid plans with no daily data limit. These plans, even though have lesser data than the regular prepaid plans, give validities between 15 and 365 days. Shortly after Jio, Airtel rolled out its Rs 456 prepaid plan which gives 60 days validity to counter Jio’s Rs 447 prepaid plan.

Airtel was also said to be giving a segmented offer with its Rs 199 prepaid plan that is giving select users 30 days validity with 1.5GB daily data. Reports speculate that the telcos are introducing plans with increased validities expecting a higher average revenue per user (ARPU). There was also an insistence from TRAI asking the telcos to increase validities of plans for customers who complained that they wanted validities with 30-days instead of 28 days.

Now, Airtel has added some benefits to its regular prepaid plans priced at Rs 349 and Rs 299. Airtel Rs 349 prepaid plan previously gave 2GB high-speed data per day with 28 days validity. The plan has now been revised to offer 2.5GB of daily data. This plan also gives unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. This prepaid plan comes with a free subscription to Amazon Prime, users must note that the validity of Amazon Prime will last till the validity of the plan, which is 28 days.
