Bahuda Yatra | Lord Jagannath’s return journey to Sri Mandir begins in Odisha

The return journey of Lord Jagannath and his siblings Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra to Puri’s Sri Mandir temple began on Saturday, July 9 after spending seven days at the Gundicha Temple. The journey commenced with the ceremonial procession ritual called the ‘Bahuda Pahandi’.

As the chariots approach the Sri Mandir temple, they will stop for a while at the Mausima Temple. In this temple, the deities will be offered sweets made of coconut, rice jaggery and lentils as part of the rituals
