Bajaj Auto Edges Higher After Sales Jump 24% In June 2021

Shares of Bajaj Auto were last trading 1.83 per cent higher at Rs 4,208.90 on the BSE.

Share price of Bajaj Auto gained around two per cent on Thursday, July 1, after the company announced its vehicle sales numbers for June 2021. On Thursday, Bajaj Auto opened on the BSE at Rs 4,140, swinging to an intra day high of Rs 4,250 and an intra day low of Rs 4,140, in the trading session so far. Baja Auto reported a total sales of 346,136 units in June 2021, compared to 278,097 units in the corresponding month last year, marking a growth of 24 pe rcent year-on-year.

Bajaj Auto’s total domestic sales – including two wheelers and commercial vehicles in June stood at 161,836 units, compared to 151,189 units in the same month last year, recording a growth of seven per cent on a yearly basis. The company’s total exports in the month stood at 184,300 units, compared to 126,908 units in June 2020, registering a 45 per cent year-on-year growth.

The total sales of two-wheelers in June stood at 310,578 units, compared to 255,122 units in the corresponding month last year, up 22 per cent year-on-year.

In terms of commercial vehicles, Bajaj Auto reported domestic sales of 6,196 units in June 2021 compared to 4,494 units in the same month last year, recording a rise of 38 per cent year-on-year.

On the NSE, Baja Auto opened at Rs 4,141, registering an intra day high of Rs 4,250, and an intra day low of Rs 4,141, in the session so far. It was last trading 1.75 per cent higher at Rs 4,206.05 on the NSE.
