Compaq Hex 65-inch TV review: Brings theatre experience home

Finding the perfect TV for your home is no more a herculean task. Gone are the days, when the choices were limited and the brands that offered the best TVs always charged more. Now, the TV market in India is overcrowded with all the smartphone companies jumping into the fray. Compaq, the company that was once known for producing laptops, has now ventured into the television market in India. The American company had launched the HEX 65-inch TV, 55-inch TV in India along with a few other sizes.

Compaq Hex 65-inch TV brings interesting specifications to the table. It features a 4K OLED panel, HDR10 support, Dolby Audio and Mimi sound personalisation. The smart TV is equipped with 24W speakers and a lot more than could appease the buyers. Having said that, this is one of the biggest sizes available in the market, which also means that it is only perfect for people with deep pockets. The Compaq Hex 65-inch TV is available in India for Rs 99,999. At this price point, you would want your TV to be perfect in every aspect. So does the Hex 65-inch deliver or should you consider other options instead? Let us explore in the review.

Compaq Hex 65 QLED TV: Design
Compaq Hex 65 inch is the slimmest TV I have come across of late. I compared it with a smartphone and was surprised to see that the thickness of a TV and a smartphone are almost the same. The company reveals that the Compaq Hex 65-inch TV is 7.9 mm thick. The TV has sleek metal borders with thin bezels around the corners. The chin of the device is thick and houses an LED light which indicates whether the TV is turned on or off.

The rear panel is made up of plastic and houses all the ports including the 2 USB ports, Type-A ports and 3 HDMI ports with ARC support. It also comes with two stylish holders that jazzes up the look of the TV. The holders come in handy when you don’t want to place the TV on a wall. However, do remember to get a large table to accommodate the 65-inch TV.

The design of the Compaq TV is premium for the price it comes for. You would not feel like it is a bad investment at least in terms of the way the TV looks. You would most certainly get a theatre-like experience if you plan to bring this TV home. However, there are some of the aspects you must know before you get a 65-inch TV.
