India registers 50,040 new Covid cases, 1,258 deaths in last 24 hours : The top five states which registered maximum cases are Kerala with 12,118 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 9,812 cases, Tamil Nadu with 5,415 cases, Karnataka with 4,272 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 4,147 cases.

71.48% of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 24.22% of the new cases.

As a result of the fresh cases on Sunday, India’s total Covid case tally went up to 3,02,33,183, while the death toll reached 3,95,751
