India’s top CAPF veterinary officer gets President’s Medal

Central Armed Police Forces veterinary officer, DIG Sudhakar Natarajan has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PMMS).

The senior Indo-Tibetan Border Police officer is often called the ‘Malinios Man’ of the country, who trained and deployed the first batch of Malinois K9 in the counter-insurgency grid more than a decade ago.

His veterinary command over the past 30 years, included looking after ponies and mules and providing pivotal logistic support to the ITBP troops deployed at BOPs (border out posts) along the LAC (Line of Actual Control).
