PM Modi on way to Rome for G20 Summit, first visit by an Indian PM in 12 years

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon reach Rome for the G20 Summit in what is the first visit by an Indian PM in almost 12 years. PM Modi will reach Rome around 9.30 (IST) on Friday.

Indian ambassador to Italy, Neena Malhotra said, “PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Rome, beginning tomorrow, will be his first visit to the Italian capital after assuming office. It’ll also be the first visit by an Indian PM to Rome in almost 12 years.”

Hours after reaching Rome, PM Modi will be visiting the Gandhi statue around 3.30 pm (IST) and later hold a bilateral meet with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi at 5.30 pm (IST).
