PM Modi to launch university, defence corridor node to boost Aligarh development ahead of UP polls

With the Uttar Pradesh Meeting election across the nook, the Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP) is about to launch two mega tasks — a college for college kids from the Jat neighborhood and Aligarh node within the defence hall for buyers.

Prime Minister Modi will lay the inspiration stone of the college named after freedom fighter Maharaja Mahendra Pratap Singh and also will inaugurate the Aligarh node of the defence hall on September 14.

On Wednesday, CM Adityanath gave instructions to the police and administrative officers, relating to the programme with PM Modi on September 14 in Aligarh.

Maharaja Mahendra Pratap Singh was a Jat chief, who donated land for the Aligarh Muslim College. In keeping with the college’s land data, Raja Mahendra Pratap leased 1.221 hectares (3.04 acres) of land in 1929 to the college.

After years of backwards and forwards and lots of controversies, the Yogi Adityanath authorities in Uttar Pradesh determined to arrange a state college named after Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh in Aligarh.

A decision was handed within the Uttar Pradesh cupboard and an ordinance was subsequently issued on November 25, 2020. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Aligarh and inspected the mannequin of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh College.
