Rahul Dravid will coach Indian team on Sri Lanka tour: BCCI president Sourav Ganguly : BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that Rahul Dravid will coach the Indian limited-overs team on their tour of Sri Lanka in July as current head coach Ravi Shastri will be busy with Virat Kohli’s Test side in England during that time.

Dravid, who had been the batting consultant for the Indian senior team on their tour to England in 2014, is the current head of cricket operations at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. He also monitors the progress of the India A and U-19 teams.

“Rahul Dravid will be the coach for the India tour to Sri Lanka,” Sourav Ganguly told the Indian Express.

“We have written to Indian government on tax exemption. We are awaiting for their response. We still have time. The board will take decision on it soon,” Ganguly said.

Notably, India will be led by Shikhar Dhawan for the short tour while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named his deputy. Hardik Pandya and his brother Krunal Pandya have also been named in the side.
