T20 World Cup: Adam Zampa’s 5-wicket haul helps Australia maul Bangladesh by 8 wickets, stay in hunt for semis

Leg-spinner Adam Zampa returned career-best figures with a five-wicket haul to help Australia thrashed Bangladesh by 8 wickets in a Super 12 Group 1 match of the T20 World Cup here on Thursday.

Zampa’s 5 for 19 helped Australia to bundle out Bangladesh for a paltry 73 in 15 overs.

Chasing a modest total, Australia reached the target in 6.2 overs with 8 wickets in the shed. David Warner (18 off 14b; 3×4, 0x6) and Aaron Finch (40 off 20b; 2×4, 5×6) put on 58 runs for the first wicket in just five overs. Mithcell Marsh (16 not out off 5b; 2×4, 1×6) finished the match with a thumping six over mid-wicket.
