T20 World Cup: David Warner played a beautiful knock, says Aaron Finch after Australia beat Sri Lanka

Australian captain Aaron Finch had double cause for celebration on Thursday as his team registered a thumping win over Sri Lanka in their Super 12 clash but more importantly, opener David Warner got his batting form back just at the right time in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

Warner’s form had been a major concern for Australia leading up to this tournament but the left-handed batsman answered gave the perfect reply to his critics by letting his bat do the talking in Dubai.

Australia rode on Warner’s 65 and Finch’s 37 to gun down 155 in 17 overs against Sri Lanka and move up to second position on the Group 1 points table.
