Tamil Nadu Govt extends Covid lockdown till June 14 : Amid rising coronavirus cases in the state of Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday announced the extension of lockdown in the state. The decision comes a day after the CM chairing a meeting with officials.
However, the new extension comes with relaxation as well. The state has come up with two sets of relaxations for 11 districts which are still having a higher positivity rate and more relaxation in all other districts. The 11 districts which have higher restrictions are Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai
