The HPBOSE Board has successfully conducted the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination as per the scheduled time table . Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education shortly called as HPBOSE and was established 1969 located head quarter at Shimla later shifted to Dharamshala in January 1983. The Board started with a staff of 34 Officials which has subsequently increased to 643. The Education Board prescribes syllabus, courses of instructions and test books for school education in the Hp state besides conducting examinations based on courses listed. The board conducts examination for following classes and courses 10th, 12th, J.B.T and T.T.C. As many as 5 lakhs candidate annually appear in the examination conducted by the Board.

The board has set up 1650 examination centres thought the state.Presently more than 8000 schools are affiliated with the Board. The Board has set up 1846 Examination centres throughout the state. Board also publishes text books for classes 1st to 12th. The board has decided to improve the evaluation system and there results, has set up divisional offices of the board name as Shimla, Mandi. Apart from a liaison office at shimla , the board has also established 19 sale book depots / information centers in the state to cater to the needs of students. Responsibilities of the Board

1.Grant and withdraw recognition to the Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools.

2. Advise the government on matters of policy relating secondary and higher secondary education in general and other matters.

3. Lay down guiding principles regarding curricula and syllabus for entire  secondary and higher secondary courses and to prepare the detailed syllabus for all standards of 10th and 12th.

4. Advise the Government in standard requirement in respect of staff, buildings, furniture, equipment , stationery and other amenities required for 10th and 12th schools.

5. Prescribe and prepare text-books for all standards of secondary and higher secondary educations.

6. Prescribe conditions for admission of regular and private candidates to the final examinations.

7. Declare the results of the candidates at the final examination.

In the year 2016, an number of students appeared for the examination 1,04,614 which 77.43 were boys and 79.56 were girls and the overall percentage is 78.93.  While are talking about the year 2017 for the same thing a number  of students appeared for the examination 1,02,075 which 71.27 were boys and 74.15 were girls and the overall percentage is 72.89.

Step-3 : E Select and click on “12th Annual Examination Result, March-2023”

Step-3 : Enter your Roll Number

Compartment Examination

The HPBOSE Board has ventured to conduct the Supplementary examination for the failed candidate of the examination of March in June month of every year itself, this will enable the students who would be successful in the June examination to join higher education courses in the same academic year from July itself. According to official notification , the candidates who have failed to clear the exam can submit their examination form and fee for supplementary examination.

The Board will be released HP Board 12th Result 2023 along with the total pass percentage of the students, who have written the 12th class exam in 2023 along with pass percentage of the students of Boys and girls separately, state wise merit list, country wise merit list,  top-10 number scores and name and state wide top-10 numbers scores and Names. The result contain a name, roll number, father name, total marks, grade…etc. Candidates can check the result SMS or online modes.
