Malayalam actor KTS Padannayil dies at 88 in Kochi

Veteran Malayalam actor KTS Padannayil alias KT Subramanian Padannayil died on July 22 morning at around 6.40 am. He was 88. On July 19, he was admitted to a private hospital in Kadavanthara, Kochi and underwent treatment for age-related ailments. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran condoled the death of KTS Padannayil.

KTS Padannayil was suffering from age-related ailments for the past few months. He was admitted to a private hospital for treatment on Monday (July 19). The actor breathed his last today (July 22) morning.

Hailing from Tripunithura, KTS Padannayil started his career as a theatre artist and stepped foot in Mollywood in the 90s. He made his debut with director Rajasenan’s Aniyan Bava Chettan Bava, which released in 1995. He stole the hearts of the people with his unique dialogue delivery.

In Sreekrishnapurathe Nakshatrathilakkam and Vrudhanmare Sookshikkuka, KTS Padannayil impressed everyone with his performance and comedy. He was active in the Malayalam film industry for nearly two decades and acted in more than 60 films. Some of his popular films include Adyathe Kanmani Swapnalokathe Balabhaskar, Kunjiramayanam and Amar Akbar Anthony.
