Samantha was ready to have a baby with Naga Chaitanya, reveals Shaakuntalam producer Neelima

Samantha, in a strongly-worded statement, broke silence regarding the rumours about abortions and her affairs on October 8. In an interview, Shaakuntalam’s producer Neelima Guna told an entertainment portal that Samantha was ready to have a baby with Naga Chaitanya this year. According to Neelima, Samantha wanted her and the Shaakuntalam team to wrap up the film soon so she could concentrate on her family.

For the first time since the announcement of their separation, Samantha spoke about the rumours surrounding her divorce with Naga Chaitanya. She wrote that rumours of her having an extra-marital affair and abortions have been relentless.

In an interview with The News Minute, producer Neelima Guna said that Samantha had planned to have a baby with Naga Chaitanya later this year. The actress requested Neelima and the Shaakuntalam team whether they would be able to wrap up the shoot before August 2021, so she could plan a baby and take a break.

Neelima said, “Last year itself, when my father director Gunasekhar garu and I approached Samantha for Shaakuntalam, she loved the story and was very excited by it, but she told us that if she were to accept the role, the shooting should be completed by maximum July/August this year. She informed me that she was planning to start a family and that she wants to become a mother and that it would be her priority. “
