Cinema halls to reopen in Kerala from October 25

Today, October 2, the state government of Kerala announced that the cinema halls and indoor auditoriums will be reopening on October 25. The decision has been taken following a sustained decrease in the Covid-19 cases in the state. However, there will be restrictions levied on the theatres and indoor auditoriums.

While on one hand, several filmmakers have been sharing the release dates of their upcoming films, on the other hand, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has announced that the theatres in Kerala will reopen on October 25. However, the cinema halls and auditorium will function at 50 per cent capacity.

“Entry will be for those who are fully vaccinated, including employees. Theatres and auditoriums will function with 50% seating capacity,” said CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
