Eligibility Criteria for AP EAMCET 2017


Nationality and Domicile 

1. Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders.

2. Candidate should be belong to the state of Andhara Pradesh and should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as laid down in the AP educational Institutions or 1974 as subsequently amended.

3. Candidate should satisfy Local / Non-Local status requirements as per AP GO MS No 153. 
       
Educational Qualifications

1. Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate examination ( 10+2) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as optional (or) related Vocational  courses in the filed as Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh / Telangna, along Bridge course (or) conducted by it candidate enrolled from academic year 2000 onwards (or) any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate AP / Telangna.

2. Candidates should have passed or appeared at final year Diploma examination in Engineering, conducted by State Board of Technical Education of AP / Telangna , any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by State Board of Technical Education and Training Andhra Pradesh / Telangna.

3. Candidate should obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.

Age Limit 

1. Engineering , Pharmacy Courses : Candidate should complete 16 years as age on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

2. B.Tech(Dairy Technology), B.Tech (FS & T), B.Sc (CA & BM) Courses : Candidate should complete 17 years as age on 31st December of the year of admission and upper age limit of 22 years for all candidates (25 Years for SC / ST). 

3. BAMS / BHMS / BNYS : Candidate should complete 17 years as age on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

How to Apply-Online application form for  AP EAMCET 2017

The candidate after satisfying the eligibility criteria EAMCET 2017, can apply  online mode only.The registration process will be held in two phases, in the 1st phase the aspirants are required to pay the application fee while in the second phase, the candidates can fill the online application and submit it. Candidate shall  take printout of the application and store it for future reference.   


Step-1 Payment of Application fee

Registration Fee in Offline

1.  Visit any of the AP Online Center with following mandatory details and pay requisite fee.

2. You will receive a receipt of fee at above centers containing “Journal number “. Can proceed will submission of application.

2. Choose the appropriate option mode of ‘payment of Gateway’ and select the Bank .Clicking on ‘make payment’ and submit.
3. Completing the banking process shall receive “Journal Number”,can proceed will submission of application

Step-2  Fill up of Online application

1. Login to the official website http://sche.ap.gov.in/APEAMCET , go through the instructions to fill up the form.Click on the “Apply Online” link.

2. The following registration fee payment procedure webpage will appear on the screen.Select appropriate registration fee payment mode AP Online (or) Debit / Credit card and click.
3. After clicking the button the following “Payment verification” webpage will appear on the screen.Fill all the details in the respective fields completed after clicking the button “Proceed filling application form”application will be displayed.

4. Fill the entire academic, study , reservation and personal details . Upload photo and signature and click “Save” button.

5. Finally click submit button,take the printout application mentioning the “Reference Id” (Registration Id).

Step-6 :  Print the Application

Click on appearing as ” Print your Application” link, enter the required details and click submit button.

Test Centers

The candidate should fill the name of examination centere where he / she wants to appear in the test. Examination centre once opted by the candidate shall not be changed under any circumstances,  however university reserves the right to allot any centre in view of the exigencies.

Exam Pattern 

The entrance test conducted in Online / Offline. The paper will consist of 160 objective type and Multiple choice questions in 3 hours duration. Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will awarded 1 mark. The unanswered questions or multiple answers will receive nil marks. No negative marks.

Selection Procedure


1. 75% of weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET 2017 and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects (Mathematics (or) Biology, Physics, Chemistry) 

2. Admission into of college depends on it Recognition / Affiliation by the statutory bodies and option of the college exercised in counseling.

3. Rule of reservation.

4. Admission to 85% of seats shall be reserved for local candidates and 15% of the seats shall be left unreserved of specified in the AP Educational Institution order  1974 as amended.

2. Candidates should have passed the 3rd year B.Sc Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subject in the group combination from recognized University in the state or its equivalent for entry into relevant courses.

3. Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology / Pharmacy / B.Sc Degree as the case may be with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) for entry into relevant courses. 

4. Candidates who are appearing / appeared for the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for the entrance test. Candidate should be required to produced mark list and pass certificate at the time of admission.

Educational Qualifications

1. Candidates should have passed / appearing for final year examination of B.A / B.Sc / B.Sc Home science / B.Com / B.C.A / B.B.M at the time of submitting the application for entrance.Candidates should be required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of admission.

2. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks ( 40% marks for in case of SC / ST / BC / PH) either in the Master Degree in relevant subject or 5 years Integrated  course in the relevant subject of Methodology or any  other qualifying equivalent there to.

3. Candidates should have passed / appearing for final year examination of B.E / B.Tech with Science / Mathematics as one of the subject and candidates should secured a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.

How to Apply-AP EdCET 2017 Online Application form

The candidate after satisfying the eligibility criteria for entrance test, can apply online mode at official website only. The registration process will be held in two phases, in the first phase the aspirant are required to pay the application fee while in the second phase the candidate can fill the online application and submit it. Candidate shall take printout of the application and store it for future reference.

Part-B :

3. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring Countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography,Ecology, Economics, General Policy and Scientific Research.

4. Teaching requires certain characteristics like ability to communicate, ability to deal with Children, ability to recognize individual differences etc., apart from analytical thinking and general intelligence. One who has these characteristics will be able.

Qualifying Marks 


Qualifying cutoff mark in the entrance test is 25% (37 marks out of total 150 marks). However for candidate belonging to SC / ST no qualifying percentage marks  is prescribed.

Answer Key for AP EdCET 2017

Andhra University, Government of AP will publish the answer key of the test in the official website. Candidate can calculate their marks in entrance test, after knowing the total number of answers correctly marked by them, with the help of key. Educational Qualifications

1. For MBA :  Should have passed recognized Bachelors Degree examination of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC / ST reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.

2. For MCA : Should have passed recognized Bachelors Degree examination of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC / ST reserved categories) in the qualifying examination with Mathematics or one of the subject at (10+2) level.

3. Candidates who are appearing / appeared for the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for the entrance test. Candidate should be required to produced mark list and pass certificate at the time of admission.

4. The qualifying Degree obtained by distance mode program should have recognition by Joint committee of UGC,AICTE and DEC.

Age Limit 

There is no age restriction for appearing for ICET (Self financing). However maximum eligible age for obtaining a Fee Reimbursement in respect of SC / ST and BC 34 Years and in respect of EBC / Minorities / Disabled is 30 Years.

Section-A : Analytical Ability

1. Data Sufficiency:


A question is given followed by data in the form of two statements labeled as (a) and (b ). If the data given in (a) alone is sufficient to answer the question then choice (1) is the correct answer. If the data given in (b) alone is sufficient to answer the question then choice (2) is the correct answer. If both (a) and (b) put together are sufficient to answer the question but neither statement alone is sufficient, then choice (3) is the correct answer. If both (a) and (b) put together are not sufficient to answer the question and additional data is needed, then choice (4) is the correct answer.

2. Problem Solving :

1) Sequences and Series: Analogies of numbers and alphabet, completion of blank spaces following the pattern in a:b::c:d relationship; odd thing out: missing number in a sequence or a series.

 2) Data Analysis: The data given in a Table, Graph, Bar diagram, Pie Chart, Venn Diagram or a Passage is to be analyzed and the questions pertaining to the data are to be answered.

3) Coding and Decoding Problems: A code pattern of English Alphabet is given. A given word or a group of letters are to be coded or decoded based on the given code or codes.

4)Date, Time & Arrangement Problems: Calendar problems, clock problems, blood relationships, arrivals, departures and schedules, seating arrangements, symbol and notation interpretation.

Section-B :  Mathematical Ability

1. Arithmetical Ability :

Laws of indices, ratio and proportion; surds; numbers and divisibility, l.c.m. and g.c.d; Rational numbers, Ordering.; Percentages; Profit and loss; Partnership, Pipes and cisterns, time, distance and work problems, areas and volumes, mensuration, modular arithmetic.

2.  Algebraical and Geometrical Ability :

Statements, Truth tables, implication converse and inverse, Tautologies-Sets, Relations and functions, applications – Equation of a line in different forms.

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate examination ( 10+2) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as optional (or) related Vocational  courses in the filed as Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education Telangana / Andhra Pradesh , along Bridge course (or) conducted by it candidate enrolled from academic year 2000 onwards (or) any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate  Telangana / AP.

2. Candidates should have passed or appeared at final year Diploma examination in Engineering, conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Telangana / AP, any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by State Board of Technical Education and Training TS / Andhra Pradesh. 

3. Candidate should obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.

Age Limit 

1. Engineering , Pharmacy Courses : Candidate should complete 16 years as age on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

2. B.Tech(Dairy Technology), B.Tech (FS & T), B.Sc (CA & BM) Courses : Candidate should complete 17 years as age on 31st December of the year of admission and upper age limit of 22 years for all candidates (25 Years for SC / ST).

How to Apply-Online application form for  TS EAMCET 2017

The candidate after satisfying the eligibility criteria EAMCET , can apply  online mode only.The registration process will be held in two phases, in the 1st phase the aspirants are required to pay the application fee while in the second phase, the candidates can fill the online application and submit it. Candidate shall  take printout of the application and store it for future reference.   


Step-1 Payment of Application fee

Registration Fee in Offline

1.  Visit any of the TS Online / AP Online / Mee-Seva / E-Seva Center with following mandatory details and pay requisite fee.

Hall ticket Number for qualifying examination

Hall ticket number of SSC or equivalent and Month, Year of passing

2. You will receive a receipt of fee at above centers containing “Journal number “. Can proceed will submission of application.

Registration Fee in Online  

1. Login to the official website,clicking on “online payment” select the post applying for TSEAMCET 2017 and District belongs to and enter the personal details.

2. Choose the appropriate option mode of “payment of Gateway” and select the Bank .Clicking on “make payment” and submit.

3. Completing the banking process shall receive “Journal Number”,can proceed will submission of application

Step-2  Fill up of Online application

1. Login to the official website https://eamcet.tsche.ac.in , go through the instructions to fill up the form.Click on the “Apply Online” link.

2. The following registration fee payment procedure webpage will appear on the screen.Select appropriate registration fee payment mode TS Online (or) Debit / Credit card and click.
3. After clicking the button the following “Payment verification” webpage will appear on the screen. Fill all the details in the respective fields completed after clicking the button “Proceed filling application form”application will be displayed.

4. Fill the entire academic, study , reservation and personal details . Upload photo and signature and click “Save” button.

5. Finally click submit button,take the printout application mentioning the “Reference Id” (Registration Id).

Step-6 :  Print the Application

Click on appearing as ” Print your Application” link, enter the required details and click submit button.

The following information must be kept ready for filling the details during Application form.

1. Hall ticket number / Year of passing , place of study ,percentage for qualifying examination.

2. Study details for up to-12th class 

3. Personal details and Address for correspondence 

4. Caste in case of SC / ST / BC candidate.

5. PH,NCC,NSS,CAP,Sports…….etc

6. Income up to one lakh or two lakhs or more than two lakhs.

7. Study or Residence or Relevant certificate for proof of local status.

8. Choice of help line centers is for certificates verification and options at the time of admission.

Test Centers

The candidate should fill the name of examination centere where he / she wants to appear in the test. Examination centre once opted by the candidate shall not be changed under any circumstances,  however university reserves the right to allot centre in view of exigencies.

Exam Pattern 


The entrance test conducted in Online / Offline. The paper will consist of 160 objective type and Multiple choice questions in 3 hours duration. Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will awarded 1 mark. The unanswered questions or multiple answers will receive nil marks. No negative marks.

Selection Procedure


1. 75% of weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET 2017 and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects (Mathematics (or) Biology, Physics, Chemistry) 

2. Admission into of college depends on it Recognition / Affiliation by the statutory bodies and option of the college exercised in counseling.

3. Rule of reservation.

4. Admission to 85% of seats shall be reserved for local candidates and 15% of the seats shall be left unreserved of specified in the AP Educational Institution order  1974 as amended.

Qualifying Marks TS EAMCET 2017


Qualifying cutoff mark in the entrance test is 25% (40 marks out of total 160 marks). However for candidate belonging to SC / ST no qualifying percentage marks  is prescribed.
